1. Mega Health Camps: From July 2013 to Dec 2013 

                               Totally 12 mega health checkup camps were organized along with J N Medical College and Dr. Prabhakar Kore Charitable hospital, our club members participated in all these mega health camps covering all taluka places of Belgaum district and around 40,000 people were benefited  and about 500 cataract operations were performed during these camp activity.

                     The 3rd  installation ceremony of Lions club of Belgaum- KLES Health Institutions Campus was conducted on Saturday, 20th July 2013 at J N Medical College, Belgaum.

Lion Dr. Anil S. Harugop was installed as the president, at the hands of MJF Lion Vasudev Valawalkar, past district governor of Dist. 324-D2.

The chief guest, Dr. Vishal Rao, Senior Onco-surgeon from Bangalore appealed to the Lions to take active part in creating awareness about cancer prevention

3. On 20th Aug, 2013,

                  KLES Health Institutions Campus Club took part in Rath Yatra organized to commemorate the 150th birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekanand. On eve of Mother Teresa’s 103rd birth anniversary on 26th August, members of  Lions Club Of Belgaum visited an NGO ASHAKIRAN in Raamteerth Nagar Of belgaum which is an orphanage for HIV infected children, run by Mahesh Foundations. On this occasion the members of the club distributed rice and sweets among the children.

 4.. Madihalli Health Camp on 30th August , 2013

                         Conducted by E N T specialist & club president lion Dr Anil S Harugop, pediatrician Dr Sontosh Tamagond, Ophthalmologist Dr Harshavardhan. About 300 school children and rural people from nearby village were benifited. Medicines worth Rs15,000 were distributed to the needy people.

6. Health Awareness March on 29th Sept  World Heart Day

                 The members held a march from Bogarves to Channamma Circle. It was to spread the message of importance of a healthy heart and to promote healthy lifestyle of living.

7. Blindness Awareness March, Peace March (International Non-Violence Day)

                      On 2nd Oct, the members of Lions Club KLES Health Institutions Campus participated enthusiastically in the Peace March conducted on International Non Violence Day, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of our Nation. The march was from KLE Lingaraj college campus to JNMC campus. Slide presentation of about life of Mahatama Gandhi.


8. Blood Donation Camp on 26th October, at S. G. Balekundri Institute Of Technology( SGBIT ).

                           The camp was jointly organized by the college along with Lions Club Of Belgaum- KLES Health Institutions Campus and KLE Dr. PrabhakarKore Hospital, Belgaum to mark the 124th Birth Anniversary of ShriBasav Swami Ji.

More than 100 units of blood were donated and the camp was adjudged to be a great success for community at large



             Lions Club Of Belgaum- KLES Health Institutions Campus in association with JNMC Scientific Society, JNMC Belgaum arranged a guest lecture on “AIDS TO HEARING AIDS”.

 The lecture was delivered by Dr. N. D. Zingade , a well-known senior ENT consultant , KLE Hospital and Professor and HOD of ENT and HNS, JNMC Belgaum. The lecture was held at Anatomy lecture Hall, JNMC between 4 and 5pm on 13/11/2013.

10. Peace Poster Competition On 16thnov

            Club conducted Peace Poster competition for students of J.J. Halur School, Shivabasav Nagar, Belgaum as a part of Peace Poster Contest of Lions International. Total of 16 students participated in the competition. PoojaSiddanaikar, a class VIII student won the competition.


11.Charter Nite

             The 3rd Charter Nite Of the club was celebrated on 23 December, 2013 at Anatomy Lecture Hall, JNMC, Belgaum. The club was officially visited by District Governor PMJF Lion Ganapati Nayak and 1st Lady of the District Lion Prema Nayak. Dr. R. S. Mudhol the Medical Superintendent of KLE Dr. Prabhakar Kore Charitable hospital was the chief guest at the function

District governor and chief guest were pleased with the success of the club over its short period and expressed their pleasure over the rate of growth of membership. On the occasion club donated Rs. 10000 to Annapurneshwari Food Scheme. Also the club released its news bulletin “Radiance” at the hands of the district governor.

12. Republic Day Celebrations

                                         Had flag hoisting  to mark the 65th Republic Day at JNMC Gardens. Dr. M.S. Ganachari, Asst. Registrar was  the chief guest of the event. The Zone Chairperson Lion Dr. M.I.Magdum, President, Lion Dr. A.S.Harugop and board of directors along with members of the club were present at this occasion. Khanapur Health Camp. A health checkup camp was organized  on 8th Feb 2014 at Shantiniketan Public School, Khanapur as a joint activity with Lions Club of Khanapur. About 900 school children and parents of the children were screened for ear nose and eye problems and adequate referrals were given. The members of the club were felicitated by the principal of the school.
