FACILITIES
The Department of Physiology consists of 1732 Sq. mts area . The present department is well equipped for both Undergraduate [started on 1963] and Postgraduate [1982].
Department has an Lecture hall equipped with facilities for Audio-Visual Aids and is acoustically constructed with capacity of 240 students. Apart from this the department has three demonstration halls and Five well equipped Laboratories, that is Hematology Laboratory, Human/Clinical Physiology Laboratory, Amphibian Laboratory and Mammalian Laboratory and Research Laboratory. It admits every year 4 MD students.
The Teaching Staff undertake teaching programmers for Undergraduate, Postgraduate (MD Courses) as well as Post graduate of M.Sc. course and Paramedical and Allied Courses. Overall results of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate examinations have been good over the years.
We have well equipped practical halls which can accommodate 75 undergraduate students at a time. We have a PG reading room accessible to the students at all times. The departmental Library has more than 200 books, collection of dissertations and CD’s of the same.
Department undertake academic activities for the benefit of Postgraduates, Seminars, Guest lectures, Clinical discussions, Workshops. The department has been holding CME Programmes annually. Department having 16 channel Bio Pac research physiograph, computerized Helios Spirometry Audio Visual reaction time “CLARITY” OTOPUS -8ch.EMG.NCS.EP 4 way , A binocular microscope with a Digital camera attachment, Multi media CD ROMs – Amphibian Experiments. All the sections of the department have internet connectivity.
