KLES HOSTELS & RESIDENTIAL QUARTERS,JNMC, CAMPUS, BELAGAVI
INTRODUCTION
The KLE Society’s Hostels, in J. N. Medical College campus, Belagavi, comprises of 09 hostels, 04 Boys Hostels & 05 Girls Hostels. These hostels cater to the needs of Medical Under graduate and Post graduate students & also Interns.
All the hostels are well maintained and are provided with 24 hours water and electricity and all the hostels are having generator back up facility. Each students staying in the hostel is provided with a cot, study table and chair and all the rooms are well ventilated and provided with fan & More than 50% of rooms has attached bathrooms.
The hostel employees maintain the cleanliness meticulously. Aqua-guards are provided in all the hostels for drinking water purpose. The water samples are tested by department of microbiology for fitness for drinking once every fifteen days.
The staff members of the department of community medicine inspect all the hostel once monthly and give their report to the Director Administration of JNMC and any deficiencies pointed out in the report are rectified.
There are 224 residential staff quarters (single bed room, double bed room and three bed room type) which cater to the needs of both teaching and non-teaching staff of J. N. Medical College.
Anti–Ragging and Anti–Ragging Squad
To prevent ragging, as per the UGC and MCI guidelines, an anti-ragging committee and anti – ragging squad are formed. And a nodal officer is also appointed as per the guidelines.
Before the beginning of 1st term classes for the freshers a meeting of the anti-ragging committee and anti- ragging squad are held under the chairmanship of Principal to sensitize the members of the Committee and Squad.
The committee also supervises the fixing of anti-ragging boards all over the campus.
The students and the parent / guardian community are made aware of the anti-ragging helpline, anti–ragging website & contact numbers of college Anti-Ragging committee and Anti–Ragging Squad and Nodal Officer.
