FACILITIES


The Department has all required infrastructure to cater for such a wide variety of courses. The Department has an air conditioned central lecture hall equipped with facilities for audio-visual aids and is acoustically constructed with capacity of 240. A well-equipped dissection hall caters to 250 students at a time. The histology laboratory is well equipped for teaching as well as research activities.

A binocular microscope with a digital camera attachment has been procured recently for use of the postgraduate students. Work on chick embryo can be conducted with the aid of egg incubator.

Animal house is centrally available for research activities. Experimental embryology and clinical anatomy work can be conducted in the above laboratories.

A well-stocked museum, aids the students in their academic activities. Late Dr. S. S. Godbole, well known for his museum techniques has prepared the major bulk of soft tissue specimens with the help of Dr. D’Souza.

The museum also has various models and animal specimens for the purpose of study of comparative Anatomy. A few rare specimens are the center of attraction in the museum.
