INRODUCATION
The Department of Emergency Medicine officially started in the year June 2021. As per the direction of the NMC, PG seats have been allotted from the year 2023 as adequate qualified staffs are available. The Department is very much involved to provide round the clock 24×7 Emergency Services to the patient with varieties of Medical & Surgical Emergencies including Acute Coronary Syndrome, Neuro emergencies, OBG emergencies, Pediatric, poising and many more. The vision of the Emergency Medicine department is to provide emergency & essential treatment during the golden period of trauma and during window period in stroke patients and rapid services to the needy patients.
The Emergency Medicine Department has been located on the Sagar floor of the Hospital at the main entrance, systematically triaged is into Red, Yellow & Green Zone which compromise of 30 beds for efficient patient’s management on priority basis which is helpful in timely turning out of patients and provide quick treatment and prevent crowding.
Department is well quipped with all essential instruments & gadgets such as adult and pediatric crash carts, Multi parameter monitoring, Defibrillator and Mechanical Ventilator, transport ventilator, Ultrasonography, Portable X Ray Machine, Central Oxygen with suction facility. We have fully functional 24×7 working toxicology center. A team of senior Casualty Medical Officers who are an integral part of Emergency Medicine Department deal with Medico-legal issues and provide full time services.
Our Staff members in addition to Clinical Service & Teaching are involved in research work, presentation of Papers / Posters in various International, National and State conferences and have also published scientific articles in International, National, State & Regional Journals
