RULES & REGULATIONS

  1. The Library will be kept open on all working days from 9.00 am to 10.00 pm and on Sundays and other holidays from 10.30 am to 5.30 pm. However the general Reading Hall (2nd floor) will be kept open round the clock(24×7).
  1. All the library members should register their Name /class & Roll Number, at the time of entry into the library user’s register maintained at the entrance of the library.
  1. Every student/Member must produce his/her Identity card at the entrance/counter.
  1. Users should deposit their belongings (aprons, jackets, own Books etc) in the Property counter at their own risk.
  1. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside the library premises. If found using heavy penalty will be charged.
  1. After reading and attending to references, they should be left on the table necessarily. The staff will restore them to the rightful place.
  1. The Library has a General Book Bank facility for U Gs. To avail this facility the student should enroll himself/herself as a member by paying an annual fee of Rs 100/-only in the college office. His/her library membership remains valid for on full academic year but expires on 15th June.
  1. A separate Book Bank facility is available for SC/ST Students. A set of four Books will be issued to each SC/St students. His/her library membership remains valid for one full academic year but expires on 15th June.
  1. The users (PGs /UGs /Local Practitioners) are entitled to take one book home issue for a period of 7 days between 12.00 noon & 6.00 pm for UGs and between 9.00 am to 6.00 pm. for PGs / Local practitioners.
  1. Absolute silence must be maintained in the reading room. Any attempt by the reader to disturb or distract the attention of the readers is strictly avoided.
  1. Reservation of seats in the Reading Room is strictly prohibited.
  1. Sitting/standing and talking in the corridor of the library is strictly prohibited.
  1. Reference Books and Periodicals are not issued, they are meant for Reference only.
  1. Books loaned to any members must be personally collected after signing in the Staff Issue Register. Slip/chit indents are not entertained.
  1. Every Borrower is expected to treat the Book with respect and not to damage by marking in the books, tearing of pages. The library decorum must be maintained.
  1. The persons making use of the library shall necessarily observe the descent code of dress and general good behavior to maintain the dignity & reputation of library.
  1. Politeness and decency at all levels is expected and appreciated.
  1. Ragging in any form anywhere in the library premises is strictly prohibited.
  1. Smoking, eatables and drinks are strictly prohibited.
  1. Misbehavior with anyone (especially lady students) including the library staff would be a serious offence.
  1. As per National/International copyright rule prior permission of the author/editors is inevitable and compulsory before Xeroxing of Books/Journals.
  1. Double the cost of books/Journals along with fine will be recovered from those who have involved in mutilation/tearing of pages etc.
  1. The local practitioners will be issued one book for a period of 7 days. They should pay Rs 2000/- as deposit & Rs 1000/- as annual fee of membership with one teaching staff surety. His/her library membership remains valid for one full academic year but expires on 15th June.
  1. Books / Periodicals issued for Reference /Xeroxing purpose should be returned for within a hour, failing which a fine @ Rs 100/- per hour will be charged.
  1. Members who fail to return the books within the stipulated period will be fined @ Rs 5/- per day.
  1. The interns are permitted to use the library for reference only. Identity card is compulsory.
  1. Suggestions if any for improving services are welcomed.
  1. Please co-operate with administration to serve you better.
